Each year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) develops a recommended childhood immunization schedule, which is then approved by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
-
The CDC also publishes recommendations for adolescent and adult immunizations.
-
The CDC has published a catch-up schedule for those patients who are behind in the immunization schedule. Find out when a vaccine should not be given by referencing the CDC's Contraindications & Precautions charts.
