A new “web ring” called the Allied Vaccine Group has been established to improve access to reliable, science-based data about immunization and vaccines. The site, located at www.vaccine.org, offers up-to-date information about vaccines for a variety of users, including teenagers, parents, medical practitioners, and policymakers. The members of the Allied Vaccine Group are the Bill and Melinda Gates Children’s Vaccine Program at PATH, the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul, Korea, the National Network for Immunization Information, and the Vaccine Page. The group was formed in response to the many Web sites that offer unreliable information about vaccines, which can confuse parents and result in delays in children receiving necessary shots.
