Cass County Gets Funding for Free Hepatitis A Vaccinations

In Missouri, a grant for 1,100 doses of hepatitis A vaccine will enable the Cass County Health Department to provide patients with the vaccine free of charge. According to county nurse Michele Lukenbill, Cass County experiences an outbreak of the disease approximately every five years. The grant includes 800 doses of pediatric hepatitis A vaccine and 300 doses of adult hepatitis A vaccine.
