Barbra M. Fisher, MD, PhD

Dr. Fisher grew up in Los Angeles and attended the University of California, San Diego as an undergraduate, receiving her bachelor’s degree in chemistry/biochemistry. She completed her doctorate in biochemistry at the University of Wisconsin-Madison before going on to medical school at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she was a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha medical honor society.

Dr. Fisher did her OB/GYN specialty training at the University of Utah Medical Center in Salt Lake City. She was a general obstetrician/gynecologist working for the University of Utah for several years before going on to complete her maternal-fetal medicine fellowship at the University of Colorado School of Medicine. Her clinical interests include all aspects of maternal-fetal medicine, particularly infections and vaccinations during pregnancy. She is board certified in obstetrics and gynecology and board eligible in maternal-fetal medicine.

Dr. Fisher enjoys outdoor activities with her husband and three children, including hiking, camping and skiing. She also loves to cook and garden.
