Each year, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) develops a recommended childhood immunization schedule, which is then approved by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP), the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), and the American Academy of Family Physicians (AAFP).
The CDC has also published a catch-up schedule for those patients who are behind in the immunization schedule. Find out when a vaccine should not be given by referencing the CDC's Contraindications & Precautions charts.
