Vical to Manufacture SARS Vaccine for United States

Under a new agreement with the United States, the California biotechnology firm Vical will produce an experimental vaccine against the virus that causes severe acute respiratory syndrome, or SARS. The National Institutes of Health issued the manufacturing order for a SARS vaccine.
