In collaboration with UNICEF and the World Health Organization, health authorities in Mauritania will hold a nationwide anti-measles vaccination campaign later this month. Mauritania's Extended Program on Immunization coordinator, Isagh Ould Khalef, asserts that the campaign is important as measles "takes a heavy toll on the population." The campaign is targeting all children between the ages of nine months and 15 years and will include doses of vitamin A as well.
