In Australia, a new survey indicates that only about half of the residents plan to get vaccinated against the flu this year, primarily because they said they felt healthy and well. Experts are calling on the elderly and infirm to get flu shots, noting that while some may consider influenza an inconvenience, it can also be deadly. This year's vaccine formula protects against A/New Caledonia-like virus, B/Moscow-like virus and C/Hong Kong-like virus.
