Agence France Presse;

[03/29/2003]

A double round polio vaccine initiative is underway in Bangladesh, targeting nearly 20 million children under six years of age in an effort to finally eradicate the disease from the country by 2005. Vitamin A capsules will also be given to children over one year old to fight against blindness. The Japanese government has donated 32 million doses of the oral polio vaccine for the campaign.
