Smallpox Vaccine Guidelines Readied
Washington Post; A1
Connolly, Ceci

[09/23/2002]

Guidelines for how to vaccinate the entire U.S. population within five days of a smallpox outbreak will be issued Monday by federal health officials. The officials only call for the mass inoculations if an outbreak were to occur. The guidelines go over all steps involved in running a mass vaccination clinic. Other issues covered are how to use the National Guard, recruit translators, construct data systems, and deal with bad weather.
