Measles Partners Launch Website

As part of the fight against measles in Africa, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent societies, the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and other groups have launched a new Web site, http://www.measlesinitiative.org. The five-year project aims to reduce measles in Africa by vaccinating 200 million children, according to information on the Web site. So far, 21 million children have received the measles vaccine in eight African countries, reports Harold Decker of the American Red Cross.
