Health officials in Hawaii have confirmed a second measles case in Wahiawa. The two-year-old had come into contact with the first measles patient—who had recently traveled to the Philippines and Guam—at a pediatrician’s office in Oahu. “Unfortunately, we now have a secondary case and because of that secondary case more have been potentially exposed,” says state epidemiologist Dr. Sarah Park. Officials are informing other residents who may have been exposed.
